In 1859, Mr. Donaldson, of the Bengal Service, inserted a paper in the Indian Lancet, reporting very favourably of cobweb in intermittents. Wishing to try the experiment myself, I collected, when Civil Surgeon at Bhooj, a large quantity of clean cobweb, and prescribed it, as advised, in the form of pill3. As much as forty grains were administered during the day to several patients, but I cannot report that any effect was produced, either over the fever or on the system. Cobweb was indeed tried
